From the armory

She grins, clapping her hands together, "Perfect! Thank you, Luc! Oh goodness, introductions! Karn, this is Luc. Luc Undertablet. Luc, you probably already know, this is Karn, our lovely knight protector." She motions to Luc, then Karn, as she introduces, and then turns to Karn.

"Luc offered to protect me, as well as assist with anything we need here in the guild." She glances at Luc, giving him a meaningful look, and a tiny wink, before clearing her throat nonchalantly.

Luc tosses an easy smile in Cassette's direction before dropping into a bow and offering a hand to Karn.

"Pleasure to meet you, Sir Karn. I hear that you do good and honorable work, and the respect you garner from your associates does you significant credit."

Sir Karn shakes Luc's hand and says "Pleasure to meet you. It's good to know there are more people I can count on around here."

Morgan calls from the back room "Don' le' Luc's demeaner fool ya! 'Is mead'll knock ye on yer arse! One time 'ee was so plastered from 'is own stuff tha' 'ee hit on an Ogre! Ne'er did figure ou' if it was a man 'er no'..." Morgan chuckles. "Believe me 'is stuff is pretty good."

He glares at his dwarven friend and says "I'm a Fae; I HAVE to drink heavy alcohol in order to feel it, and what's the point in making drink that I can't enjoy?"

He turns back to the Knight. "I would hope I'm trustworthy, Sir Knight. I've worked hard to become so. We can sit down and discuss ability and the like later, if you like."

After standing about for a few to listen to the discussion and opinions tossed about, Alphonse picks up the things he can manage moving to the door, turning about, tapping on the ward with his spear once more.

Hearing the name Luc, and seeing Cassette introduce him to Karn Jayden turns to Luc, " Your Luc? There is no way your the Luc I remember. I remember Luc being alot shorter, and furrier."

Cassette gasped softly, turning to the sound of the tapping, holding a hand to her heart.

"Goodness! Alphonse... I didn't even... see you there. Do you need any help? I was thinking of heading out anyway. I'm way past overdue for a visit to Kardala..." Her voice trailed off, as she glanced at everyone else, then turned her attention back to Alphonse, her eyes looking a bit distant.

"We might have to do that Luc. And by the way, I might have to partake in some of your 'strong drink.' We have this dwarven knight master back at the keep who thinks that part of any knight's training should be in drinking. Granted, he's almost always sloshed, but I've shared a few kegs with him and I feel like I can hold my own in some drinking competitions."

Alphonse smiled lightly, that carefree smile that being on land had seemed to taken from him. He looked to his book scrawling in it once more, presenting it to Cassette.

Written: "If you would like accompany me to Docksides, I would appreciate it. Carrying my things will certainly prove to be quite a bit of a challenge to be honest. Haha."

He smiled at her gesturing to his things, then holding a finger up, he began to scrawl in his book, turning to Karn presenting it to him to read.

Written: "Pardon my own silence, and as well as my misbehavior in your absence. I hope to return in a few moons, perhaps even by next gather, however, I really believe I have some meditation and training that I must do. I've been foolish and betrayed my own race's ways. If you need me, I am going to Docksides to stay with Kalei."

He bowwed his head in respect then turned to Cassette scrawling as he did, presenting the book again to her.

Written: "Whenever you are ready and have finished up here, I would enjoy to depart. Oh! If you do not want to leave just yet, I can have De Sala and Zeke accompany me, you still have that golem do you not? It can jockey the wards while they are away. I wanted to surprise Kalei with them, since she didn't really have time to visit when she as in town this past gather. I will ensure they return promptly before the coming Long Night."

He smiled again, glancing to Zeke and De Sala momentarily, then back to Cassette. He quickly scrawled on the page suddenly presenting the book again.

"Oh and don't worry about them not being back or it not being safe. It's not that far of a travel to Docksides, merely about a quarter of sand or so, depending on how the winds feel today."

((OOP: Quarter of sand references literally, a quarter of sand falling from an hourglass, thus, 15 minutes.))

Nodding to Alphonse as he passes Vend takes a seat on an empty chair before motioning for Cassette to come over and then whispers in her ear for a second before leaning back and looking back torwards Jayden with a worried look in his eye.

Cassette nods to Alphonse, glancing about the room. "Well, if anyone wished to join us, I would appreciate it, considering I would rather not travel back to town alone. The days of courage are long gone, especially since I know better to walk alone with The Long Night approaching..."

She glanced at Luc, then Vend, catching his motion, and raising a brow, taking a moment to listen to him, as Alphonse showed his book to Karn. She whispered back without skipping a beat, a small smile making itself known on her lips. She looked back up to Alphonse, just in time to read the words in his book, stepping closer to see it.

"Sure, DeSala and Zeke can come, if they want, I guess. My straw golem is unfortunately gone, seeing as he was only for two gathers, unless I'm mistaken. It's a shame... Nathaniel was cute. But, anyway, yes, as long as they came back before The Long Night, I don't see why not."

"I imagine you and I could swap some interesting tales over a bottle of mead, Sir Karn. I was raised by a Knight, and he was indeed a character."

He turns to Jayden. "Ok, now I KNOW we know each other somehow. I was a member of the Old Grove, and a friend to Sir Brunhilda. And yes, I used to be short, fat, and furry, but times change, mon ami. I personally think this form suits me a lot better."

He turns next to Cassette. "You're right, m'Lady, about not wanting to travel alone. I'd be most willing to escort and protect you whilst you're out of town."

Walking buy with a set of saddlebags on one shoulder readied for travel, Sir Alexander abruptly stops infront of the Healer's Guild, shaking his head a few times, as if he were trying to dilodge his brain.

He walks over to the ward and lowers it, and motions to Sir Karn and speaks in a whisper to him....

After the whispering correspondence Sir Alexander just shakes his head and a few hellos as he cycles the ward back and heads down the road toward his original destination.

She giggled a bit at the conversation between Luc and Jayden. "Short and furry? So apparently Jayden here knew you as a hobbling? I'm tempted to ask about hairballs..." She covered her mouth, as her giggling turned to some light hiccups of laughter.

She cleared her throat after a few moments, and exhaled gently, looking up at Luc, and winking. "My apologies. I have to remember... hobblings may be furry but they're not sarrs. I would very much appreciate you escorting me as well. It will give Karn a chance to rest, and possibly catch up with anyone in the tavern-maybe see if we have any leads on what happened two gathers ago?" She gives Karn a look, hoping he knows to what she is referring to.

"But anyway, yes, we should get going. I would hate to keep anyone waiting any longer, and the less chance of not being back in time for All Hallows-"

She stops, watching Sir Alexander coming in, opening her mouth as if to say hello, but stopping, and watching their whispers quietly, then watching him leave. "O-oh...?"

She gasped quietly, blinking a moment, before quietly excusing herself, walking quickly to her room, the door bumping quietly behind her. She exits the room again, adjusting her belts on her waist, sliding her weapons into her belt, and nodding to everyone, pausing at the door. "I forgot, I would like to get a large drink before we head out, and I do like to check the missives, so I'll head to the tavern, and come back. Also going to peek in, to see who's there."

She smiled at Alphonse, "I'll be back," and cycled the wards, leaving enough time for someone to follow her, if they were fast enough. She began to walk quickly in the direction of the tavern.

" I ran with the grove of old for about 2 to 3 months. Then I realized that they did not suit my style of life, so I started running with Sir Brunhilda and Antonio."

Turning to Cassette, " While I know that this time of year is hard for some, I do not fear anything. I will walk through the biggest baddest undead battle and remain unharmed. If you need me for any reason, and can find me, let me know, and I shall help you out."

Zeke overhears Cassette's words piping up cheerfully.

"We get to go on a trip? Yay!"

He hops up from his normal position, then trotting into the Guild Mistress' room, exiting with a basket over his head.

"Picnic!"

De Sala looked down at Zeke, snorting with a smirk.

Zeke moved to Alphonse's side looking up to him.

"When you're ready, Mister Alphonse!"

Alphonse smiles brightly at Zeke, then looks to De Sala who had moved beside of them. He nodded a bit, looking to Karn, writing in his book and presenting it to him.

Written: "If you don't mind, I'll be leaving now. And I promise that Zeke and De Sala will be back before next gather."

He looked to Zeke and De Sala nodding, as De Sala put in the keys, the wards lowering for them. She turned presenting them to Karn, then turning to Alphonse, she picked up what was left to carry, heading out the door, Zeke bouncing around happily.

"Kay-Lee-Kay-Lee-Ka-"

De Sala shot Zeke a look and he quieted. If they were watched, the group headed to the tavern.

Morgan, having finally gotten his head out of his books, realizes that his two teachers are leaving with his friend and manages to rush out of the Guild before the ward cylces again, and catches up to Alphonse. "Migh' as well tag alon'. Good chance fer me ter learn a bi' on tha' road."

Sir Karn writes a something on a few pieces of paper, gathers up his things and then heads to the tavern.

((Sorry about the delay, folks; I was in Salisbury all weekend helping a local non-profit group with some live steel swordplay demonstrations.))

Luc collects his things, nods to those around him, and leave a bottle of honey colored liquid in front of Karn. He then hustles out of the building behind Cassette before the wards come back up.

Seeing everyone around him gather their things, Jayden makes sure he has his mace, and sword. Once he is satisfied with the placement of everything, he exits the healers guild. To anyone that is near him " I will be seeing you guys later. I have a couple of things to check on before the upcoming gathering of undead is upon us." With that Jayden heads off in the opposite direction of the tavern, walking without stopping until no one can see him.

Seeing everyone else leave Vend steps out after Jayden and then heads back up torwards the armory
